The Houses of Psychedelic Magic are Sacred Soma's classification system of sacred use of psychedelics. This is based on the elemental meanings of alchemy from an astrological and symbolic perspective. From a ceremonial context, one may find themselves called to a specific elemental magic. The reason for this can vary. It can be anything from what the most dominant element is in your personal Starseed Blueprint as well as what you are going through from a life experience standpoint. Magic Mushrooms - Earth Psychedelic Magic
With the mycelium of the mushroom existing beneath the soil and the earth, magic mushrooms speak to a type of earth magic. Earth as an element in astrology corresponds to the signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. Earth as a planet is also much related to the planet Saturn and time and the sensory material world - the container by which we have manifestation. Earth is also linked to the first chakra; the root chakra - the one that provides foundation for life.
I have found from a personal psychedelic journey perspective; Earth Magic is ideal for revisiting past memories and reframing them as to have a more healthy perspective on the past, communing with the ancestors from deep within your past selves, as well as a conversation with Mother Nature herself and the connection between the one and the infinite. Ayahuasca - Water Psychedelic Magic
Ayahuasca plant medicine is usually prepared in a brew - a beautiful combination of two plants deep in the jungle to produce a healing effect. Water symbolically also represents the basis of all life. The living waters is a symbol found cross culturally in many mythos. The idea of having the structured ego dissolve away to find flow in our existence is a type of Water Magic. Water as an element in astrology corresponds to the signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. And water is very much an element tied to emotional needs and the moon. Water Magic is good for healing deep emotional wounds and past traumas, inviting flow and openness to blocked energy centers in the body, and provide nourishment on a spiritual level. It is additionally good for cleansing the inner spiritual self, which can happen over time depending on situations in an individual's life.
DMT - Fire Psychedelic Magic
DMT, also known as N-dimethyltryptamine DMT, is a journey where one can die and be reborn all within a timeframe of 15 to 20 minutes. While the timeframe of the experience may vary based on personal constitution, it is all to the say that the intense rocket fuel to consciousness that DMT provides make this compound a type of Fire Magic. Fire as an element in astrology corresponds to the signs of Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Fire is very much related to the inner fire and will of manifestation. Fire Magic is good for a psychic deep cleaning of consciousness, a way to dissolve the ego to realize what is truly important in this existence, and an intense connection to the all. The sheer intensity of the experience aligns this to Fire Magic and the idea of heading straight to the source to find the answers that you seek from your highest selves.
LSD - Air Psychedelic Magic
For a long while in history, LSD was an approved therapeutic in psychology and treatment. Due to some unfortunate misunderstanding (and sketchy government experiments). Both Alan Watts and Aldous Huxley touted the benefits of LSD as being a way to gain clarity to the doors of perception. LSD is air magic mainly due to the ease of intake as well as the ability to open the mind and the inner eye to “see” more of what our reality is. Air as an element in astrology corresponds to the signs of Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. Air is related to the mental and magical processes of being a human being. Air Magic is good for inspiration and imagination, creative solutions as well an awareness of vibration and frequency on a heightened level. There is a level here of having the "above the grid" vision to see things for more of what they are.
